1999 is one of my busiest years in terms of actual output of quality drawings. In terms of environment, it is one of my most transitional, with living arrangements having been as varied as highway-side motels and luxury apartments center-city.
I had difficulty in grasping my destiny--reflected in a complex and structured forma, with regular, bold colours used in very controlled spaces. The midpoint of the year saw me moving in an awkward transition from dependent helplessness to a relative success--the important part being the success and ensuing depletion of artistic drive, with different things to occupy my mind and the economic power to enjoy pursuits outside of the pen, paper, and coffee-all-day sort.
